He Said, She Said – a piece of music for choreography

It’s taken me a while to complete this piece.

I got the idea in the midst of the Weinstein revelations; I wanted to write a story in music about a predatory, abusive man.

It’s not an easy piece of music and there are parts of it that are a challenging listen…but that’s the whole point. This is a challenging subject.

I’ve written it for a string quartet and it’s been developed under the tutelage of my music mentors Tom Harrold and Fenton Hutson.

I imagine it being danced to and I’ve written various ‘scenes’ within the piece. (My son is a student at The Royal Ballet School so dance is in my blood).

I really hope you like it.
