Voicing…for art’s sake

I’ve written elsewhere about NOT voicing for visual media…so here’s a post about writing for a very visual medium indeed – ART.

I was lucky enough to be asked to voice a film for artist Jon Buck who creates sculpture and drawings inspired by nature, Africa and organic shapes.

The challenge here was to compliment Jon’s art, not compete with it. The voice needed to be understated…but not so understated I sounded dull. I needed to “sell” the art…without being selly, or pushy, or aloof.

Have a listen and see what you think.

All publicity’s good publicity, right?

one of the most bizarre ads i’ve ever voiced

thanks for the support
